Corrections Volunteer Program

Corrections Volunteer Application Form

Sponsored by the Corrections Committee

The Corrections Committee is responsible for hosting AA meetings at each Edmonton Area Correctional Institution, having a liaison at each facility, and maintaining rapport with institution staff.

The Agreement

  1. To be eligible for AA service work in the area of Corrections, it is suggested that volunteers have completed the steps. It is further suggested they have at least 1 year of continuous sobriety in the program.
  2. Volunteers should be willing to make a commitment of at least 1 meeting per month at one of the institutes.
  3. Correction committee volunteers must complete and submit this form. They will also need an Alberta Justice / Solicitor General or CPIC clearance form, both of which require a front and back copy of a currently valid Alberta Driver’s License.
  4. Volunteers will be given information and guidelines pertaining to security from the applicable institution and will conduct themselves according to these guidelines and in a manner befitting AA’s Traditions and Concepts.
  5. If any of these conditions are not met, or they are violated, the Corrections Committee may invalidate clearance at any time.
